Friday 23. September 2011, a wonderful, sunny autumn day with clear blue skies, we said our goodbyes to Buksie. He left us quiet and peacefully with his head in the lap of “Daddy”, in the room filled with memories of his incredible life. Buksie leaves a deep loss which it will be difficult to overcome, however he left us with dignity. His place will be hard to fill, but he will live on through his sons, daughters and grandchildren. Buksie did it again as he took the title Being the oldest participant of all (11 years 2½ months), he won over several top Champion Veterans to gain this very prestigeous title. Furthermore he was the highest placed Danish owned Ridgeback at the WDS.
